Teela was AMAZING! She was extremely helpful, answered any questions, was attentive and responsive. She was very aware of her client's needs and desired look. She gave my friend the absolute best haircut and color fit for him. 10/10 would recommend this salon!
Lighten up is by far the only place I will go to! Ever since I moved to Budd Lake, I've been going to Melissa and she is the best! She is so sweet and so personable and makes my hair cutting experience enjoyable! There are many reasons why I return back to lighten up. Everyone is so nice, the salon is so big and so clean, and the atmosphere is great!
Lighten Up has been my go-to place for over ten years. The staff are very kind and courteous, but I always make my appointments with Kinga. She's a ROCKSTAR!
Yesterday I visited and it had been a few months since I cut or colored my hair - the ends were damaged, straggly grays, bleh. Kinga and her daughter Nikki did an amazing job with this fall color and cut...I absolutely love it!
If you're looking for a place to get pampered, this is it. I can't recommend them highly enough.
I have been going there for over 5 years and I love going there. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. I go for a haircut about every 5-6 weeks and my hair always looks super. VERY nice place .I would DEFINATELY recommend.
I had Ashley C. Transform my waist length hair from ugly brown and brassy to absolutely GORGEOUS!! I have never been so satisfied in my life. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants the best for their hair!

LOVE this place. Have been coming here for years and have had many different stylists. It is sometimes difficult to book my favorite stylist without a few weeks notice, but she does such a great job I don't mind. Out of all the times I have gone there, the only negative I can say is one stylist didn't take "just a little off" for my trim - she chopped off much more than I asked, but again, very clean place, friendly staff and prices are reasonable - mid range. You don't be disappointed!
LOVE Mary! She does fabulous work and has been my go to girl for years!!! She also recommended Casey to me when she wasn't available and I LOVED her too!! Sometimes it's tough to choose who I want to see! I always get complimented when i'm walking out by other clients!
One of the best in the area. Nice and clean inside. Brenda was absolutely wonderful. She basically gave me whole new do from her suggestions and incorporated what I wanted as well. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. I will absolutely be returning for her services. Everyone was very professional and the prices were reasonable!
Absolutely love love love this salon. The staff is super accommodating and my stylist Kelly does a fab job with my cut and color. Pricing is very fair and all charges explained when consultation is done. I travel about 45 mins to get to Lighten Up but I wouldn't consider going anywhere else.
What isn't to love about this place? I mean really. Everyone who has done my hair is Amazing - Rae is my favorite!! She takes her time to listen and really to give me the exact look I want - even if I change it every time. The spa services - these are by far my fav!! Heather is a great message therapist, Basha gives the best pedicure (even for those of us that are super ticklish). Everyone has a smile on their face - whether your the first or last appointment of the day! Oh now they have standing appointments - they really look to make you happy!
Went there for the first time for a color and cut and couldn't be more pleased. The staff and my stylist, Kinga, were absolutely the best. I am definitely making this salon my "go to" place. I recommend it highly.
Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Prices are very reasonable, compared to other salons and you still get quality. Love that they offer coupons for mani/pedis, which are so reasonable.

Michelle is an excellent stylist. I have been going to her for quite a while. I always receive compliments about my hair from friends as well as strangers. She styles my hair the way I request her to. I am always happy with it when she is done. She is a friendly nice person. I do recommend her when people ask me where I get my hair done.
Michelle listened to all my concerns and what I wanted for myself. She was professional and knowledgeable as always. I feel amazing !

I feel so blessed that Patti does my hair. Her skills are immense. She is family to so many individuals. I come in looking haggard but because Patti has such vast skills I become transformed into a beauty. What a wonderful woman she is indeed. I hope Lighten Up appreciates her as much as I do. Well done Patti, you are amazing.
I will never go to another stylist but Paige! She takes the time to listen to you and find out what your expectation is of your color and cut , What do you like about the color? Do you stye your hair everyday?. She pays attention to detail and the end result is always nothing short of magical! I always get tons of compliments about her work.

I really loved my hair appointment with Ashley. The color and trim are beautiful too. I look forward to returning to her with my next appointment. Jessica was excellent... She listened exactly to what I was saying. She explained the whole process in the beginning as well as throughout, so I knew what she was doing and why she felt it was necessary. She took her time, and my hair cut and color looks amazing! I would highly recommend her as a stylist!
I so love Jess she is understanding in what I want my hair to look like. She has a very pleasant personality and unloved when i see cause I know I am being taken care of the way I should be. Thank you for all she does for. I know that I am always in good hands.

She is fabulous with my 10, 7 and 2 year old. I trust her judgement and trust that every hairstyle is going to be just what we want. She did an awesome job putting a small strip of color in each of my 2 girls hair. Nothing crazy just a little amount for both my daughters and I to be happy!
